The Ministry of the Environment has just announced the 10 new nature national parks that can be added to the 5 that have already been decided. See the location of the parks on the map below.
This makes a total of 15 nature national parks in Denmark.

The 5 parks already decided are:
Almindingen på Bornholm, Gribskov i Nordsjælland, Fussingø ved Randers, Stråsø mellem Herning og Holstebro and Tranum ved Jammerbugt
The 10 that have just (24 March 2022) been announced
- Læsø Klitplantage (Læsø Kommune)
- Hanstholm i Thy (Thisted Kommune)
- Husby Klitplantage i Vestjylland (Holstebro Kommune)
- Kompedal Plantage i Midtjylland (Silkeborg Kommune)
- Mols Bjerge i Djursland (Syddjurs Kommune)
- Nørlund Plantage og Harrild Hede i Midtjylland (Ikast-Brande Kommune og Herning Kommune)
- Draved Skov og Kongens Mose i Sønderjylland (Tønder Kommune)
- Hellebæk Skov og Teglstrup Hegn i Nordsjælland (Helsingør Kommune)
- Bidstrupskovene på Midtsjælland (Lejre Kommune)
- Ulvshale Skov på Møn (Vordingborg Kommune)
In addition, two more marine national parks are planned in Lillebælt og Øresund. Their final location is yet to be determined.
